Special Recognition - Amphibian Awareness
2008 was AZA Year of the Frog, an effort to raise awareness of the crisis many amphibian species face in the wild. Almost half of all the world's amphibian species are at risk of becoming extinct. In acknowledgment of this public awareness campaign, some entries were awarded special recognition for their efforts in amphibian conservation awareness.
