Pre-School Programs
N.C. Zoo pre-school programs are offered Tuesday through Thursday at 10 a.m. from June 15 through August 5. Hosted by kidZone Play Leaders, all programs meet at the Front Porch just inside the kidZone entrance. Each program lasts about 45 minutes. They are open to all children, but target ages are specified below. Each week will be a different program topic.
Programs are $5 per child per program for non-members; $3 for members. Fees do not include admission to the Zoo. Admission to the Zoo must be purchased separately.
Programs will take place outside regardless of weather - dress appropriately.
TUESDAYS
Tuesdays are especially for the little ones. Programs will engage the tots in their growing development using movement and object manipulation as we learn about animals and their environment.

WEDNESDAYS
Bring your three year old to learn about different types of animals and what makes them unique.
Target Age: 3
THURSDAYS
We'll explore where animals come from with older kids making connections between special adaptations and biomes around the world.
Target Age: 4 - 5
How to Register
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. All program registrations must be submitted through our online reservation system. Each session has limited space and is closed when filled. A waiting list is kept for each session. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail. Please bring the confirmation to your program. No refunds are available for cancellations occurring within one week of the program date.
