Pokemon GO at NC Zoo

Trying to collect 'em all?  Trainers are welcome!

Thousands of Pokémon have been collected, 52 PokéStops have been identified and 8 gyms have been established at the galaxy’s largest Zoo! Restock your backpack at one of the many PokéStops, gain experience at a gym of your choice and hatch those eggs by walking the Zoo's five miles of shaded trails. Rare Pokémon are seen at the Zoo, along with water, electric, rock, grass, fire, ground, psychic and fighting Pokémon.

The North Carolina Zoo is a safe, family-friendly place to collect Pokémon.  Please respect the natural space, the safety of other guests and animals, watch where you walk, and stay on the trails.

Wifi is provided at the zoo and is strong in the North America plaza, but may be limited in the park due to high demand from guests. Cell phone coverage varies by provider. Portable battery chargers are available in the Zoo's gift shops.

This dual opportunity to see the Zoo’s 1,600 animals while playing the new sensation is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. Don’t forget to see the lions, elephants, polar bears and alligators, too.

Note: The North Carolina Zoo did not select the placements of game elements. Please do not access any elements in non-public areas of the Zoo. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo.
