School Grade Summer Camps

Summer Camps 2025 "Operation: Zoo" 

We are inviting all the best agents, detectives, and investigators to help complete Operation: Zoo this summer! Join us for fun and engaging weeklong and single day camps (in-person and virtual options) for rising 1st-8th graders! NEW this year, two day camps are available for rising 7th-10th grader!

Registration will begin February 7th at 7:00 a.m.

Virtual Camps: $35 per session

Single Day & Kidzu Camps: $75 per session

2-Day Camps: $115 per session

Weeklong Camps: $285 per session

Important Camp Information:

All in-person camps are from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m, virtual camp times are noted in the description. 

All camps are rain or shine.

Agent 101s: Super Sleuths

Rising 1st-3rd Grade: Wednesday, June 18th

Rising 4th-6th Grade: Thursday, June 19th 

Did you see that? Come along as we explore how animals stay hidden and what surprising things may be living in our own backyards! Campers will leave having met new friends (animals and humans!) and knowing how to help native wildlife.

Rising 4th-6th Grade: Thursday, July 17th

I have four legs, fur and webbed feet. What am I? Join us as we investigate what makes one animal different from another and how they are grouped. The Zoo is full of clues!

 

Agent 101s: Fun Forensics

Rising 1st-3rd Grade: Tuesday, July 29th

Rising 4th-6th Grade: Wednesday, July 30th

Play is important! Did you know play allows animals to learn behaviors and skills that help them survive? We’ll see how different animals play and have fun creating enrichment!

Kidzu Camps (rising 3rd-8th grade)

*Kidzu camps are designed for 3rd-8th graders who need a smaller group size and a more guided, sensory-sensitive experience!*

What tracks are these? Who’s been eating the plants? Help us solve animal mysteries and explore how we can live in the same place without conflict. We will discover how the Zoo is making a difference for wildlife and meet animal friends!

Undercover Agents: Dynamic Data

Rising 7th-8th Grade, July 2nd-3rd

International Operatives: Motive Makers

Rising 9th-10th Grade, July 31st-Aug 1st

We need our most qualified agents to investigate and collaborate as we think “big picture”. How do we make a difference at home and internationally? Join us as we learn from Zoo employees, meet animals, and develop action plans for continued success after camp. 

Weeklong Camps (rising 1st-8th grade)

*Weeklong camps are Monday-Friday with some camps offered twice. Please sign your camper up for only one session. *

Detectives: Natural Inquiry

Rising 1st-3rd Grade, June 23rd-27th & July 21st-25th

What is nature? What does nature mean to you? We will spend the week using our detective skills to grow closer to the environment around us. From the tallest tree to the smallest ant to the biggest elephant, we have many questions to investigate!

 

Detectives: Field Operatives

Rising 4th-6th Grade, July 7th-11th & Aug 4th-8th

Calling all agents! This weeklong camp focuses on the many threats animal face and how we can help! From habitat loss to poaching to water pollution, we will discover how new actions can make a positive difference. 

 

Undercover Agents: Inner Animal

Rising 7th-8th Grade, Aug 11th-15th

Time to test our skills, and stomachs, as we dive into the animal kingdom! We will explore how animals work together and socialize, from beehive dances to parasitic hosts. Get ready to embrace your inner animal!

What’s that in the distance? It’s a bird, it’s a bat, it’s a bee! Join us as we investigate how the animals that call our Zoo home are grouped into classifications. Let’s see if we can find them all!

Help us discover how animals learn important skills through play, without getting into trouble! This “visit” to the Zoo will focus on how we can make a positive difference for the animals that cross our paths.
