2025 Veterinary Science Camps
The Zoo’s veterinary staff will offer four veterinary science camps this year. Each of these camps will accept 22 qualified campers. Prospective campers must complete the application process before their applications will be reviewed. Once an application is complete, qualified campers are admitted on a first-come-first-served basis.
These one-of-a-kind veterinary camps bring young people to the Zoo to explore a future career in veterinary medicine. Campers practice basic veterinary procedures—giving physical exams, administering CPR, trying sutures, and more—and explore some of the specialized skills veterinarians use to care for non-domestic animals. Most sessions are taught in the Zoo’s veterinary center.
Our single-day Junior Camps are suitable for rising 7th through 9th graders. The two-day overnight Senior Camps are suitable for ten graders through first-year college students.
