N.C. ZOO COUNCIL TO MEET JULY 18, 2018

 

The North Carolina Zoo Council will hold a meeting at 11:30 a.m., followed by the yearly joint Zoo Council and N.C. Zoo Society Board meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, in the  Zoo's Valerie Schindler Wildlife Cabin, 2663 Old Cox Road, Asheboro 27205.

Council Chairman Scott Reid and Society Board Chair Mike Fisher will preside. The council is a 15-member board appointed by the Governor to oversee the operation and development of the state zoo. 

The 11:30 a.m. council meeting will include a vote on Special Zoo Fund projects and allocation, as well as fees and pricing. Items on the 1 p.m. joint agenda include updates on Zoo projects and plans from Director Pat Simmons.
