Asheboro, N.C. – Feb. 4, 2022 - The North Carolina Zoo Council will hold a meeting on Wed., Feb 9, via videoconference. Contact Jennifer Hicks, Jennifer.hicks@nczoo.org with any further questions about the council meeting.

Council Chairman Walker Moffitt will preside. The council is a 15-member board appointed by the governor to oversee the operation and development of the state zoo. 

The meeting will include updates on the Zoo from Deputy Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Jeff Michael and Zoo Director Pat Simmons.
