Kidzone Play Pal
Assignment Responsibilities
Volunteers facilitate play at Kidzone, a nature-based play area geared toward guests ages 3-10 years old. Kidzone is a place where children and their parents can play, explore, and interact with nature in a fun, safe environment. Play Pals engage children in activities such as fort building, making mud pies, playing in the stream, walking across logs, identifying backyard wildlife, crafts, programs, and much more. Activities might leave volunteers and young guests a little dirty but with smiles on their faces and an appreciation for playing outside! Play Pals are responsible for performing a variety of functions, including facilitating outdoor exploration, leading activities, organizing crafts, engaging in storytelling, and assisting with animal encounter opportunities as requested.
